★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful and scenic place to enjoy with your family, friends and loved ones. You just need to stay away from getting into the waterfall as it produces strong water current. The place is enchanting with a river bed and a light tower to witness the breathtaking place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very very scenic, dark sky and clouds, a drizzle, Sunday afternoon, rainy month of August and standing at a place like Bhimkund watch tower. It was a mesmerizing view of water gushing through the rocks with all its might and visualising all this from top was a sight indeed. Absolutely loved the place. Didn't seem I am standing at a place in Odisha

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ it is a wonderful place , Words can not describe the beauty of this place, specially in rainy season.
It is about 60 km from Keonjhar.
You can also come via Dhenkikot from Dhenkikot it is about 20 km
There are two sides of Bhimkund.
Mayurbhanj side and Keonjhar side.
Earlier Mayurbhanj side was more beautiful and nearer to the fall.
But Now after the warsh tower build by a mine owner Keonjhar side has also a nice view.
Toilets a new gate has been constructed recently.
There is Hanuman statue also made .
There are picnic pindies which get crowded during picnic season. From Nov to Feb
Makar Sankranti is a great festival here, at this place with thousands of tourists and pilgrims visit this place on that day.
Overall it was an memorizing experience for me on a rainy day in The month of August with river Vaitarni in its full vigour.
Must see place of Keonjhar.

Its place has a history from Mahabharat era .. its made by Bhim during the Pandava's agyatvaas period to eradicate the thirst of the brothers and Draupadi ...
This place has so much to offer but yet so ignored... Had great experience at there .. its with in 45 kms from Ghatagaon tarini temple. The road is good u will hv a good trip experience...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best picnic spots in Odisha. There are so many things to watch and enjoy.
The story behind the formation of this bheem kund is related to the time of mahabharata, when bheem created this kund as pandavas tired and weary under the hot scorching surya, draupadi and pandavs fainted of thirst. bheem , the strongest of the five brothers, hit the ground with his Gada and behold water surged out and the pool came into the being. This was created when pandavas were in the agyanvas.
This place located on the banks of Baitarani river at a distance of 60KM from Keonjhar town and 40km from Karanjia town in Mayurbhanj . There are no proper public transport service available. Only one bus operates from keonjhar Town daily. You have to hire taxi or go by own transport.
For picnic you can take utensils and all other items from Bhimkund Ecotourism organization.
Toilets are available for both gents and ladies.
