It is located on the Barasat–Hasnabad line in North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is a very busy station everyday during office time. So many people board from this station. It has only 1 platform and comes before Basirhat station towards Barasat-Hasnabad line.

Local people of Basirhat ,nazat and sangrampur and also pifa chowmatha area also go through this station.It is a halt station. It' nearest route is nazat Basirhat road. Near station a big market is situated .you can also eat puri ,tea , biscuits and other thing. Fruit are also available at very cheap rate.

Uncountable numbers of Toto and Auto run through the narrow station road.platform is not clean and clear at all.Geographically this station played the most important role.There is no place for transforms it into a double platform station.
