do not rent an apartment here, specifically if you are not a local. here is what happened with me I got the contact on nobroker.com and contacted the owner, after checking the place I didn't like it much so I didn't get back. the owner called n requested several times to take it as he wanted a family only to stay. it was me my mom n my cat to stay. since I was running out of time I agreed. then the whole torture started. I was constantly nagged for deposit week before I came in. the agreement in print was delayed until eternity. when I got it it had unusually high painting charges mentioned. but I needed the doc so I signed. the building is said to have power backup but we were always in dark. on asking about generator connection we were told owner has not paid for the same so we will not be getting it. the owner somehow had painted the place but no cleaning was done. the door bell, stoppers, some switches were damaged. had to follow up several times for fixes. the previous tenant must have been tortured too so he left bottle caps n glass pieces in the drains to clog them. we got that cleaned too. on several requests the owner provided the inverter which hardly lasted 1 hour with 1 light n one fan use. this is one part of the story on owner side. the management is equally horrible. they hate outsiders aka Hindi speaking ppl. the owner supposedly had some dues to them for which they used to remove our power connection frequently n at odd times. on being asked I always got weird responses. my cat was not allowed on the terrace even after clarifying she's litter trained. they took away our terrace access. we were asked to pay maintenance to them directly which we were gvng to owner, if not our water supply connection was threatened. but the owner wouldn't let us give it to them. after a lot of argument this was settled. we paid full maintenance charges even after so many facilities being taken away but the same was revised as 400 extra monthly on which we requested some exception due to unavailability of many services. it was declined. infact they asked for 3 months to be paid in advance. I had parking facility but since I didn't own a car it was empty. despite that my visitors were not allowed to park in the space I was paying for every month. the secretary was over interfering. who comes n visits, why, how much we bought furniture for, he would ask each delivery person all details. he also sent msgs to owner accusing me of not paying maintenance whereas we attempted to pay for one month at a time, in a situation where I had lost my job for 3 months! after all this as if it wasn't enough, my owner has declined security deposit to me even after 40 days notice. I vacated that place for 2 reasons..not being able to pay that rent after being unemployed, n also the torture I was gng through. now he's gvng excuses each day n not gvng the money n forcing me to hand over the keys. DO NOT RENT A PLACE HERE. flat #402
