β β β β β The auditorium is high quality, the equipment, infrastructure, architecture all are well suited for the purpose of the place. The capacity is good, I don't know the exact number but it should be around 80-100 people. The seats are of high quality and is a boon for the audience to sit through long hour of events and performances.
The stage area is large enough for most events, stage wing's are properly set and there are retractable curtains for the additional oomph. And special mention for the lights as well as the organisers for maintaining this auditorium impeccably.

β β β β β Terrible behaviour of the management.
They are extremely abusive and harass organizers who use the auditorium.
Highly disappointed with this type of harassment act by the management authorities.
Would never recommend this audi to anyone.

β β β β β They stop your play and cut off the stage lights if you exceed their timings
They have no sympathy for teams perdorming on stage. I faced a similar situation on 16 april 22 during a theatre fest

β β β β β As reported by a dear friend and fellow artist-
A two-day theatre festival was being organised by Srijanee Sca , a theatre group in Delhi in loving memory of Poulomi, an active theatre worker who we lost in 2021. The two-day event featured presentations by 9 groups from Delhi and West Bengal and was organised at *B C Pal auditorium in Chittaranjan Park, in Delhi* on 16th and 17th April.
On 16th April, the first day of the festival the events went past the stipulated booking time of the auditorium. The last play was being staged. The organisers made an earnest request to the auditorium authorities to allow the play to conclude in 5 minutes and offered financial compensation for the extra time used. The authorities not just abused and insulted the organiser, who is a Senior Theatre Worker of Delhi but even after earnest requests, the Executive Trustee barged into the control room and forced the play to be stopped and switched off the stage lights.
This is an unprecedented event of violation of theatre and serious insult to art. While one can understand issues of compliance with rules, violation and mutilation of art is unacceptable. The same auditorium authorities have been extremely high handed and have similarly insulted theatre practice, individuals and groups on multiple occasions earlier. This is a shameful act and the auditorium authorities must render a public apology!!

β β β β β I write here to report an incident that has shamed and insulted the institution of theatre. A two-day theatre festival was being organised by Srijanee, a theatre group in Delhi in loving memory of Poulomi, an active theatre worker who we lost in 2021. The two-day event featured presentations by 9 groups from Delhi and West Bengal and was organised at *B C Pal auditorium in Chittaranjan Park in Delhi* on 16th and 17th April.
On 16th April, the first day of the festival the events went past the stipulated booking time of the auditorium. The last play was group Prarambh's "Sadhonbabur Sondeho" being staged. The organisers made an earnest request to the auditorium authorities to allow the play to conclude in 5 minutes and offered financial compensation for the extra time used. The authorities abused and insulted the organiser, who is a senior theatre worker of Delhi and even after earnest requests, the executive trustee barged into the control room and forced the play to be stopped and switched off the stage lights.
This is an unprecedented event of violation of theatre and serious insult to art. While one can understand issues of compliance with rules, violation and mutilation of art are unacceptable. The same auditorium authorities have been extremely high handed and have similarly insulted theatre practice, individuals and groups on multiple occasions earlier.
We, Katakuti a theatre group based in NCR and engaged in theatre since 2011, strongly condemn this act of cowardice and audacity in belittling the art of theatre.
*We have taken a decision to boycott the Bipin Chandra Pal Auditorium in Chittaranjan Park. We will not perform at this auditorium as a group till the authorities issue an unconditional apology for their shameful behaviour*
We appeal to all theatre and cultural groups to rise in solidarity and abstain from performing at this venue.
