★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the Birla Cement manufacturing unit. The plant is not so clean, can't be clean as it is a cement plant but however well maintained.
Plant is much polluted with dust. Be cautious during visit.
The site has the production facility along with the packing facility. Also have facility for Bulk loading in T/L and Tank wagan.
The are is highly restricted area with 24 hours security. Entry without proper safety gears assembly is restricted here. Proper alertness is really require over there.
Smoking and any source of fire are restricted over here. Photography is also under restrictions.
You need to attain security check before entering the plant.
Outside you will small shops, union office etc.
Employees are well behaved, mannered and helpful.
You can easily reach the plant from Durgapur by road by taxi/cab/auto. Expenditure is nearly about 180~200/- one side. No bus facility is there. You can hardly find a lift on the road.
