The museum has great collection of sculptures of Lord Shiva and Devi. Apart from this there are many sculptures depicting Indian gods and goddesses in the open air gallery outside. The museum also has collection of old Indian locks, dolls and some other interesting items. Photography is allowed on payment of small fee. The museum is located next to the Birla temple

It is a good enough to spend a quality time of one hour for history buffs and half an hour for amature ones. Do try it, it's worth a experience. Divine figurines, different arts and terracotta is very intriguing.

This museum is situated in the Birla Mandir complex at Arera hills. This museum is a small museum with small but rich collection. The museum include collection from stone age to 19th century CE. The museum and the temple are both located in the same complex as in most Birla Temple/Museums across India. Thus museum has a lot of sculptures of Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva and the Goddess Shakti in various forms with very informative display cards. Outside the museum in the garden are a selection of sculptures from archaeological finds.
