★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is too crowded and no space for seating and consume lots of time to get certificate. Though the staff are cordial but the entire process is bit rather more than lengthy. The gate open at 11 but the queue started from the 7am in the morning. To avoid crowd choose the dates during no holidays. And it is located in the gate of dental college and a bit offbeat place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In this pandemic situation, they organised it very well. After showing original ID and provisional birth certificate, they provided the form and asked for submit the same in a box. After 15 min they provided a receipt for the same and requested to collect the birth certificate at 3pm. I found the process very simple and organized. Thank you very much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall good as per the govt office standard. Initially they will try to convince you to take the bribe route. But not needed. Certificate can be easily collected within 3pm. Try to reach there before 9am morning to be in the front of the queue.
Need to work on the waiting area. There is one, but they stuffed that with boxes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You need to visit the place before 12 noon. You need to carry a copy of your aadhar and copy of hospital certificate and originals for verification. You do get a form from first floor and asked to fill it. Then the form is collected by the security guard on the ground floor and you’re asked to wait. Then your name is called out and asked to pay and given a receipt for the same and asked to come at 3 pm to collect the printed copy. You can also send your staff to collect the original certificate at 3 pm but one parent needs to be present while applying.
Some of the executive may ask you for a tip. It is upon you if you may want to tip them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to get a fresh birth certificate for my newborn daughter. It was Saturday and the place was surprisingly less crowded. The office is a little walk from the main entrance. Look for the inconspicuously placed signs, look hard and you may find them. The birth certificate office is on the 1st floor. I had reached after 12 and was admonished and refused a form before the lady at the counter took some pity and issued me a form. After submitting the form I came down and waited for the register submitted by the hospital to be sent down and my name called out. Once they called out my name I submitted the money required for additional copies of the birth certificate. Make sure you carry adequate and exact cash. Expecting change would be futile. Once paid I was given a counterfoil and asked to wait. My name was called out again at around 1:45pm and I was given the birth certificate. Was a fairly simple process, I was approached by a tout but I chose not to engage him. The process took less than 2 hours for me. I heard from people there that on weekdays it may take the entire first half of your day. Not giving 5 stars just because of the attitude of our public servants who feel that they are doing us a favor by discharging their routine duty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Entrance to this building is opposite to the HP Petrol Pump which is near Moulali Crossing entrance to CIT Rd. Car Parking can be done in the same lane. Though there is a long queue but one can find out ways to get work done faster.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bring original along with xerox copies of provisional birth documents and ID card in between 10am to 12:30pm, after verification they are provide application form. After submission of application form they will provide free 1 copy (for 1year child) of birth certificate within 3pm on that day. Additional copy of birth certificate will charged Rs.100 per copy. Good behavior of all office staff's, they are very helpful..!!
