About Bishop Cotton School, Shimla
As Bishop of Calcutta, on the 28th July 1859, Cotton conducted a service for the foundation of a public school at a hill station. Collections were made in most of the churches of the Diocese for this purpose. These funds were used to found the Bishop’s School at Jutogh, Shimla. The land and the buildings on it were a gift from the Viceroy. Three private houses were purchased by Bishop Cotton, out of the India Public School Fund, and the school opened for students on the 15th March 1863. Though mentioned in correspondence as the Shimla Public School, it never actually bore this name.

If you want your kid to be independent, responsible, caring and successful- this is the place to send your kid.
I acknowledge that sometimes it's not easy for both the parents and the kid to adjust to the boarding school environment- but trust me, sending your kid here will make his life!
You will not regret your choice.

i know the school very well i think that you should check the situation on ground level these type of activities will never stop

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very good school with all basic to major facilities and one of the oldest and biggest schools of Asia. It was founded by Bishop George Edward Lynch Cotton in the year 1859. The school has seen many Principals. And the current principal is Mr. Roy Christopher Robinson. It is a purely boarding school and not for boarders. It also has its own infirmary to take care of the illnesses of the students. All types of sports are played in the school and also inter school matches are there at school levels. And at internal level, house matches are there as the students are divided into separate houses which are Curzon, Ibbetson, Lefroy, Rivaz. Education system is also very good. The school focuses on all round development of the student with physical and mental education. The campus of the school is very big and this can be understood by the fact that there are two big grounds for games like football, cricket, etc and it also has basketball courts, for tennis also. There is also a swimming pool. And there are all types of games played in the school. There is Sports Day celebrated in the school every year and all the major festivals are also celebrated in the school every year. The school campus is also used in the shooting of many films like Gadar, Sanam Re, Udaan, etc. It is an example for other schools not only in India but the entire world.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Teaches kids how to bully each other, seniors are constantly beating juniors, DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL. didn't even want to give them a single star because they do not deserve it. It is horrible to see such a prestigious school teach this to the boys there. It's disappointing and shameful. The school needs to take some responsibility for its actions. And stop teaching boys that being sensitive is wrong and that getting beaten up makes them stronger.

It is horrible to see such a prestigious school teach this to the boys there my brother is victim of bully in this school. It's disappointing and shameful. The school needs to take some responsibility for its actions. And stop teaching boys that being sensitive is wrong and that getting beaten up makes them stronger. The education is also not at all good the standard has fallen. School doesn’t not focus on academics at all they don’t care whether the student is able to understand or not. Shame on you can’t even control bully
