Offers land related services to the people of Kakdwip. The main services which are offered by this office to the general public of Kakdwip are- Quasi judicial matters like Mutation of name of the raiyats of land, Conversion of land from Agricultural to non-agricultural upto ten(10) decimals, Distribution of Patta and recording of the names of the pattadars, Recording of Bargadars, disposal of the Bhagchas cases, Miscellaneous Correction of land records, Recording of the names of the legal hairs of the deceased raiyats. Other services offered by this office includes issue of certified copies of Record of Rights, Issue of Plot Information, Issue of certified copies of the scanned RS Records. This office also bear the responsibility of Collection of Land Revenue, Cess etc., Collection of Minor Minerals, Raid on illegal mining and carriage of Minor Minerals, Collection of Rent and Selami for Long Term and Short Term Settlement of vested lands for different purposes to people, Collection of Sairati Interests etc. This office also take the responsibility of finding out suitable land for different construction projects of the Government of West Bengal as well as Government of India and then initiating the process of Inter Departmental Transfers or relinquishment of the land in favour of the Requiring Department/Body. Presently this office also has to take the responsibility of initial processes of purchase of land for government projects as per recent decision of the Government of West Bengal. In this process this office finds out suitable land, prepares the list of raiyats on the land by proper field verification and demarcation in presence of the requiring body, raiyat-wise total area of land within the selected area are calculated, finds out if there is any encumbrance over the selected land and then place the list of encumbrance-free land with the list of raiyats with their quantum of land before the Land Purchase committee of the District headed by the Hon'ble District Magistrate.
