★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a beauty to behold. The water and the overall scene is so gorgeous. One should really visit and have a look here. I loved the overall place but as it is close to nature it's not maintained as such. I would suggest not to go close to the lake itself as it's deep. Please enjoy camping and picnics with friends but keep the place clean. A lot of other people do picnics here on weekends and on ocassions. I would recommend this place for a visit.

As the name signify it as blue lake because when Sun strikes or better to say when light strikes the water the colour reflected to our eyes is bluish-Green in colour.
Best local place to trekk.
Best part is sitting on its bank and feeling the air blowing the face is the mesmerizing moment.
Fresh air with lake side best place for relaxing.
It's about 2-3Km away from Mitrapur (Balasore) about 5km from Fakir Mohan University.
Best scenic view can be observe over here.
Long rides the sitting on the site is what makes your journey memorable.
Do visit if you want a long drive and relaxation away from the city life.
Not so much popular because no one promotes place.
But in future can be better place for picnic and trekking
