Bombay Ywca - Achamma Bhavan Hostel - Mumbai

Am applying for hostel fecility and am selected. When first day me & my dad was visit your place as per good weal ground. After that all discussion my father told one of the stuff name is Miss Furnundis that all those charges kindly take from me now because my father was from Kolkata. I took admission for hostel because of my job. That time the lady name is Furnundis said that after Interview and verification we will take that money for hostel fecility. Then all those documents and local guardian verification they told me M selected and 1st of August when I am settled for staying in this hostel that time and date I will give them the 9645/- of DD favour of "YWCA Of Mumbai". Dew to some printing problem in 31st of July 2017 m not recieved that DD from SBI Bank (Senapati Bapat Marg, lower Parel). I have that receipt copy also on today's date. After that I also told them my temporary staying place (Naigaon) is so far. Also train was busy of huge rush Monday to Saturday so I have one big trolley its not possible to carry through out train from Naigaon to Mumbai Central. As well am a working lady. Only that if them give me a permissions to put into hostel for 2days (30th July- 31st July, 2017) after that when I will permanent stay from 1st August 2017 I will first submit the DD then I will stay there. They provide me the permission and miss Furnundis said she will arrange to take that trolley for 2day and told that security guard also to allow me on Sunday 30th August for this big trolley. When I was entered in the hostel @4pm the security guard also told me that no one to tell him to take that trolley. Although he take my bag and put in register copy all my information. Today 1st of August 2017, Miss Furnundis called me and shouted on me that y I didn't provide the money and she also told me she will be through my bag out of hostel if I didn't submitted my money 2nd of August within​ 11am. I beg her crying over the phone told her please give me time till 2-2:30pm I will submitted. My may point is this is a organisation of charity of Christian. But I didn't expect this kind of behaviour m a helpless women. I am coming Mumbai for work purposes. I expect atlst as a human being she understands my situation. She was shouting at me. How she have that much of guds ? M already complain on women police helpline. It's shame​ on your organisation.

I stayed there for two weeks. Achamma bhavan YWCA is, unlike other YWCAs is predominantly a vocational training centre. On its third floor there is a dormitory facility where students or working women can stay, either as residents (if staying for more than a year) or as guest (few days, months). Any girl can get accommodation after producing the concerned I'd proofs and purpose of stay. It has two dorms with a capacity of 12 beds each and a guest room that can accommodate 3 people at a time. The fee is ₹3500 per month for a resident and ₹350 per day for a guest. The only problem with the place is that they don't provide food

This is a really wonderful place and well managed by the Board. It is kept very clean, tidy and odour free. The staff is very helpful and well mannered. They also provide many skill level of courses at a reasonable price.

Worst experience ever in hostel. The hostel room has all kinds of animals and birds running around. The hostel secretary is rude and not at all supportive. GS is rude.

It is situated next to Fine Touch Madrassa and opposite Baby Garden. It provides hostel facilities for working women on top most floor whereas the second floor is used for all the vocational certificate courses. They have various certificate courses at nominal charge which includes tailoring, baking, computer related, beautician and so on..one can enquire more for any information in the office on 1st floor between 1pm and 5pm

They dont give enough items so that we could practice properly. Always gives fake hopes of placement at a good place. This is the worst option if you are choosing this association.

It's a good working womens hostel with dormitory system which contain 12beds in one hall and 11 in other with the guest room with occupancy 3 people in a room..if you are looking for a stay in cheap price this will be a good option. For guest prices are 350/- per day For residents for 1 year it is 5k deposit with 2k maintenance+ 7.5% of your gross salary. With the best location of 5mins walk from Mumbai Central station.
