सुबह 4 से 5 बजे के बीच का स्नान मुनि स्नान माना जाता है, इसे सर्वोत्तम स्नान माना गया है। मुनि स्नान से घर में सुख , शांति , सम्रद्धि आती है।
सुबह 5 से 6 बजे के बीच के स्नान को देव स्नान बोला जाता है, इससे वैभव और संतोष की प्राप्ति होती है।
तीसरे प्रकार का स्नान मानव स्नान होता है ये स्नान का समय सुबह 6 से 8 बजे तक होता है। इसे सामान्य स्नान कहा जाता है, इससे सफलता की प्राप्ति होती है।
अंतिम स्नान जो 8 बजे के बाद किया जाता है उसे धर्मशास्त्र के अनुसार राक्षसी स्नान का नाम दिया गया है। इससे घर में गरीबी, झगड़ा तथा धन की हानि होती है।
