β β β β β I went for the Bhogali Bihu thali... A feast for guys from the North East... and elsewhere...Simply Fantastic. Felt like I am feasting on Pork in NE, too surreal a discovery for Pune. Right from the composition of the succulent pieces, the texture and quality of meat used in each of the dishes, the quantity (more than what it looks like in the image) offered at this price, all felt like an invitation that I would gladly accept any day. It hit all the right areas of my taste buds. And the welcome drink was a perfect companion to the dishes on offer. Surpassed all expectations. Special mention to the til pork and laie xaag pork... coming back again...

β β β β β Never seen such a lousy restaurant in life. 3rd class food and service.it took almost 45 min to deliver our food, few we cancelled and owner does not even seems to worry. In short donβt visit this restaurant. Good quality is pathetic, waste of money.

β β β β β So we went there in a quite Sunday morning. The place was completely empty; I guess that, should have been a indication for us but I guess by ignoring all odds we ended up creating a mess for ourselves. Anyways went there with a motive of having a quaint Bengali lunch but instead was treated to a very obscure type of food with little resemblance of west bengal. Started with the fish fingers which had a dead like fish smell to them; obviously frozen or old fish. Then went to the main course which was chicken kosha which was completely bland and had no reflection of any spices. I think the chef tried really hard to save the dish by adding lots of red chilli powder which was a completely failure. The sukto was pretty much the only saving grace in the entire meal. Then came the disastrous dessert of rice pyash which was hot ? I dont think I need to say anymore.
Would never recommend this restaurant until they make drastic changes to the quality of food they choose to serve.

β β β β β Extremely recommended. We visited for lunch and the Assamese thali we had is one of the best we ever had. The owner when came to know that we came for birthday celebration, ordered a black forest cake for us to celebrate there. Humble person he is (Manas Barthakur). Please do visit this place and I am sure you will not regret. They also have bar facility perhaps in the weekend.

β β β β β Been here thrice. Dissapointed thrice. Can't recommend this place presently for Bengali Cuisine, as the taste was way off my expectations and completely bland and unlike anything available in Bengal or even in Pune, possibly due to different cooking style. Haven't tried the Assamese cuisine, so no comments on the same.

β β β β β I have made a bulk order in Byanjan for a specific puja for first time. The food order had Bengali Khichuri, Labda, tomato chutney and beguni. The owner and staff of the restaurant is very humble and supportive. They send the order bang on time as requested with excellent packaging. The food taste, quality and quantity was more than sufficient and justifying the price. Even as we visited the restaurant the ambience is excellent and Veg chop and lemonade were excellent. A go to place to have a good food!

β β β β β It was indeed a very pleasant experience visiting Byanjan. Just to start with very tasty food ( real authentic taste of bengali and Assamese cuisine), great location, amenities like parking for 2/4 wheeler, great ambience, nice hospitality to name a few out of many positive attractions of the restaurant. We ordered byanjan special fish thali and the taste of bhapa Ilish gravy was like one prepared by my mom in early days. It's real pleasure for a foodies taste palate. Guys a must visit place for a sumptuous veg/non veg meal.
