★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beware. Do Business at your own risk. This guy (Gopal Goswami) claims he is running an institute and boasts high placement rates. Full disclosure- we are a company that is always looking to hire talent from institutes. We worked with institutes in the past and they send us candidates. We train them and the institute is happy to boast great placement stats to attract students. We got in touch with this guy and he said he has a lot of students and wanted us to hire one of his candidates. After sending us a candidate, going through interview process and us hiring him - Gopal Goswami proceeds to tell us that we have to pay him a recruitment fee of a full month salary 3 weeks AFTER the candidate was hired!! All well and good if we were working with a placement agency and they disclose their terms and sign any contracts agreeing to the terms and conditions prior to sending any candidates. Gopal did no such thing. He never disclosed any placement fees at the time of sending candidates. We never signed any contract. We never thought of asking about placement fees as he is running an institute and the training and background verification costs are on us. Despite all of this, we said we would pay half the new hire's salary right now and pay the other half in 6 months from the date of joining. And we paid him half the salary right now (Keep in mind no contract, no communication as per normal timelines- Gopal is 150% in the wrong, but we did this as a good faith effort). I asked him to send me an invoice- he never provided any such invoice and has only responded with threats. He was not happy with a comprimise and fails to admit his faults. He insists that he would only be responsible for a replacement within 3 months (it takes us 3-4 months to train someone). Now, Gopal threatens us and tells us the guy we hired is going to stop reporting to work starting Monday because he wants the other half of his salary. Gopal is an extortionist and unethical individual. We don't want to pay because quite frankly- who knows what Gopal Goswami is capable of? Will he make up any other new charges and try extorting money from us? I would not be susrprised. For companies looking to hire CAD professionals- DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY/PERSON AS HE IS DISHONEST. Students - you can do the math based on the experience from a verified individual who hires CAD CAM professionals.
