★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good but there are few things to be looked into like quality and price are not par. The price is high. They don't have enough staffs, so if and when the floor gets full with customers, they don't get to manage things properly and once has to wait 50mins around for just a black coffee without sugar

BUT, coffee is extremely bad.
If you are a true coffee lover, this is not your place. Coffee isn't good at all.
Presentation not good too. Sugar packets are all filled with moist sugar.
Since I am habitual coffee drinker, I can just say that the chef isn't good at all. Needs a lot of training for making good coffee.
I am giving 1 star. I just hate this coffee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cafe by the lane is one of my fav restaurant around Kolkata for their decor and menu and the Narendrapur branch is no different. The cafe decor is typical CBTL style which I loved. Tried Hazelnut Cappuccino and Cheesy Chilli Fish. Liked both of them.
The service is little slow, which can improve.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a beautiful cafe to spend time in. Very kitschy decor and nothing goes with anything but everything together looks strangely beautiful together. Sitting arrangements by the glass window was amazing.
Food was adequate.Drinks,not so much. Only two options for dessert and one was not even available.
And prices were steep (i mean, 180 for Darjeeling tea is a bit much). Servers were kind and polite
Overall it's a nice place for good old adda.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Italian dishes are available here. Food quality is good and ambience is very good but cleanliness isn't up to the mark, vide insect in glass on the table in the pic. Service Staff behavior is polite and professional. Seems there is shortage of cleaning staff or supervision. Owners must ensure proper cleanliness in a restaurant of this standard. Items are little pricey.
