★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent society for maths lovers.Sir Asutosh Mukherjee was the first president of CMS.Sir Satyendra Nath Bose was attached here till his bereavement. CMS has a very good library. Society organizes various seminar, workshops for teachers, research scholars. I went there on a national seminar commemorating 125th birthday of SN Bose and my experience was awesome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A society devoted to Mathematics. A 4 months long course for NET is also given here. There are many precious books and journals. Many eminent mathematicians are associated with it. The ambiance is very good and calm. But there is a lack of maintenance of the books.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good coaching centre for CSIR /UGC net.different topics which are in the syllabus are taught by reknowned mams from different reputed Universities.the dada who takes care of Cms is very humble in nature.class coordinator sir is also very good ,he always listens to the students and tries to solve their problems regarding class.

and 90 other founding members.The Society's association with legends like Albert Einstein, S. Chandrasekhar and Abdus Salam bears an eloquent testimony to the height of its excellence in the world of Mathematical Sciences. All along, the Calcutta Mathematical Society has been able to create a distinct impression in the mind of the elite of the society, and we hope it will continue to do so forever.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This a unique place of mathematical confluence. Founded by Sir ASUTOSH MOOKERJEE in 1908. Since then CMS, it's official bulletin has been continously publishing this very old issue more than 109 yes without any break . Numerous journals and rare books on mathematics could be found here . It also received more than 100 foreign journals. Has a scope of research work with so many references. The oldest book that has been preserved is about 210 years . But lack of man power and peoples' ignorance it is at brink of deep oblivion. Not too popular destination . Primarily started at raja bazar science college the has been shifted to its present location in 1985. Monday and Sunday closed . Working hours from 10 am to 5 pm . It conducts several conferences on into sprawling hall on 2nd floor . No lift . Dust is gathering over the precious collection of books and journals . No easy access for the disabled people .
