★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The prime responsibility of this workshop was to manufacture rolling shock this excluded locomotives only carriages and wagons were in initially manufactured. During the last century liluah hid efficiently discharged the duties. Manufacturing of coaches were till 1972 and liluah was 3000 coaches to its credit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very big area.. And also very good place.. It will take almost 10 minuteswalk time from lilua railway station..place for Very hard work.... Worker are very honest and also hard working.. One of the biggest workshops in west bengal as well as Eastern india.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very old finest workshop. At present it is under a jurisdiction of Eastern Railway.The total area of the workshop is 0.312km. more than 7000 employees working there. The main activity carried out in this workshop is POH, IOH & NPOH of coaching and wagon stocks. Basically it is a mechanical workshop but electric activities required in POH. Mechanical department in the workshop consists three unit
1. Manufacturing
2. Production
3. Coaching
I experienced a vacational training for one month here.

With full safety it's having a different shop like LHB shop K shop whell shop in this shope wheel manufacturing work available coach maintenance worked here and a different type of worked in this place related to ICF and LHB coach repairing or testing done here
