★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is central hospital only for the Railway employees and their family members. The service of hospital staff is good not best, Location is peaceful. You can park your Vehicles near the main gate at a very nominal cost for relatives and free of cost for employees. Thank you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My mother is right now admitted in the dlw hospital and her oxygen saturation levels are lower then 87 with oxygen but Dr. Mirash is forcing me and family to take the patient and vacate the bed , he is showing on my mother that we cant provide you bed not even a single day manage on your own. Pathetic I dont know whom to contact plz help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DLW Hospital is now BLW Hospital, BANARAS LOCOMOTIVE WORKS VARANASI. The hospital is very nice and nearby central market and Bhulanpur Railway Station. BANARAS LOCOMOTIVE WORKS VARANASI is nearby. BLW Hospital is one of the best Hospital for Railwaymen. It's customer friendly service, patients oriented attitude contribute golden features to it.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The Medical Department of Diesel Locomotive Works provides comprehensive health care services to its employees both serving, retired and their family members.
• Provision of curative, preventive, promotive and Industrial Health Services to Railway beneficiaries.
• Occupational health services, including pre-employment and in-service periodical Medical examinations, examination under Workmen's Compensation Act, monitoring of safety environment of works etc.
• Medical relief during Railway Accidents.
• Monitoring of quality of drinking water in Railway Colonies.
• Reproductive and Child Health Services including Family Welfare and immunization of vulnerable groups.
• Implementation of National Health Programmes.

MEDICAL DEPARTMENT DLW
Medical department in DLW renders comprehensive health care services to approximately 50,134 beneficiaries which includes serving and retired employees and their dependents.
To provide the medical and health care services DLW has:-
• 105 bedded fully equipped Central hospital.
• A health unit in west Colony Township.
• A First Aid Post in the workshop.
• Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is the head of Medical department. There are 14 doctors including 02 work charge posts.
