★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean Station. Easy Communication. Market area is within walking distance. All facility available. Footover bridge is too narrow in respect of Jagadhatri Puja. One more footover bridge is needed or existing bridge must be extended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located on the western bank of Hooghly River, the town was one of the five settlements of French India. The city has a unique culture due to the mixed Bengali culture and French culture, different from other cities in West Bengal. Indo-French architecture is seen in the colonial bungalows, most of which are in a dilapidated state. The town still retains some of its Francophone culture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I use this station almost daily. All the platforms are well connected through subway and stairs. More or less all the local trains even the galloping ones have chandannagar as their stoppage. Station is well maintained by the authority.
