The place has been named after Goddess Chandi worshipped by late monk Baba Bhairabananda Bramhachari who established the deity of Maa Chandi in one of the adjoining hills of Barunei full of dense forest and ferrocious animals in 1932.The accommodation facility can be availed at Chandikhol and Cuttack by hiring Hotels and Lodges. For financial purpose, the nearest bank located to this tourist place is S.B.I and a few nationalized banks which are located at Chandikhol. The common languages spoken in the area are Odia, Hindi and English. S.C.B Medical college Cuttack is nearer to the spot for accessing medical facilities. People wear light cotton in summer and woolen in winter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a bit (100m) ahead of the place where the Google map shows. From there a left turn is required & more 200m you need to ride to reach the temple. Here is the pic & vids of that place for the reference. Due to some court case, it's in bit abandoned state now. But as per recent discussion, it's been cleared by the temple priest that the place is going to open again very soon.
