Chanson Haveli is a village restaurant spread over in 6-acre garden and part of a historical killa known as Shambhu Sarai. It is situated on (Sher Shah Suri Marg) GT Road NH1 about 11 km from Rajpura, near Shambhu barrier & about 10 km from Ambala. Chanson Haveli is made with bricks without finishing of cement plaster which gives feeling of village and muddy art work.
Chanson Haveli stands as a tribute to the glorious past & lifestyle of Punjab. The rich culture of Punjab is well depicted in the ambience & hospitality of Haveli. It is a perfect venue for any type of function, exhibition, product launch, family gathering, kitty party, or marriage functions. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went there for prewed photoshoot. They charge ₹2200 for it and the place is not well maintained. Surroundings was very dirty and trash can be found everywhere. this place certainly need urgent maintenence

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very very very good place for a short visit with family or friends. The food is also good and obviously not costly. Tawa roti is free here.You can have your food either inside the restaurant or in an open area. You can bring food from home also but in that case you are allowed to have your food outside the restaurant in an open area.
The fort is also very good. Fort is open till 5 pm. It's just 100 mtr. away from the restaurant. One old Shiv mandir is also there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Without any preplanning I got a chance to visit Chanson Haveli.it one hour drive from chandigarh... I must say that this is one of the best place I have visited lately. They had set up a projector for IND/PAK match. While having snacks we enjoyed first inning of the match.they had a world class snacks and after that lunch we too yum..Apart from that they have served us chati ki Lassi.(butter milk) and in deserts khoya kulfi which they prepared themselves. They have huge variety of food. Not only that in the evening we roam around in the property and found that they have Goats, Ducks, Rabbits, Hens, Buffalos and pigeons too.its a huge property so one can plan a function here. They have all the punjabi tradition things which is difficult to find these days. This Haveli is a perfect place for family outings, pre wedding shoots, kitty parties and for get together. Owner himself is a very nice person.all the time he was there to take care of his guests. I must say we had a great time.. Must visit?

Nearby situated fort like Mughal Sarai, built by Sher Shah Suri in 17th century A.D, was a much sought-after place for fatigued travellers during Mughal rule . The respite offered by the sarai was unmatchable.
The ‘sarai is approximately 168 m. square enclosure of battlement walls with octagonal bastion at each corner. There are imposing gateways .
There is type of mini village and small zoo for photography and pre-wedding shoots.
