Taking a step to send ur child in a child care is a big one for both the parents and the child, needless to say grandparents extended family and friends are equally concerned in our kind of society..so wen we went to ChicaNino (CN) we had our own apprehensions.. We met Mohit, the cofounder of ChicaIno, during our initial scouting visit.. He sat us down in a kiddie chair and explained us in detail how CN work with children. We were also served a sample of that evening of snacks that kids had. We were convinced immediately. It would be a home away from home for our 18 month old son. To start with a closed whatsapp group is created between the head coordinator and parents of the child to inform them about daily activities, diet consumed by the child, videos and pics of the child engaged in activities, weekly menu, etc.. There was a lot of emphasis by the staff to mention the child's day from the time he woke up so that CN were prepared if the child was having an unusual day.. For example on a particular day if my son Arjun was cranky or did not sleep well I would just write it down on the group and then they would take care of him accordingly. There was the usual settling in period where one of the parent would stay in CN the first week. It made the child is settling in easy. We were impressed with how well the staff helped Arjun settle well. The teacher and didi take great care and efforts to raise the child well. They are exceptionally warm caring supportive and professional. The didis help to provide toilet training too. Their "Loo with a View" indeed encouraged children to go to the toilets. The food provided is vegetarian and is of excellent variety and quality. This was an important aspect considering Arjun would have 3 to 4 meals there. CN encourages children to eat all variety of foods. The kids sit at a dinning area and eat. They teach and encourage kids to eat food independently as well. Arjun learnt to eat with spoon and fork by 20 months. The staff always have time to give a feedback even when they are busy or in middle of something. They know their business very well and one can see that the child is in good hands. They take adequate care to pick up kids and are available on phone in case of change in schedules timing to make life easy. Arjun also developed an affinity to the staff within a month. CN offers a wide variety of engaging activities which encourage learning in the children. Facilities wise, the nursery is very modern and very well equipped. Learning and activities are excellent and every week/month there are different events with specific focus. For example making Easter egg with play dough. If I were to imagine, all these cannot be done at home even by the most inspired and engaging parents. Nurseries have an edge over home care on this aspect. The information documented on my sons progress is outstanding and you can tell they have really taken the time to get to know him and observe his developmental stages. One issue for us was the location. We would have wished a location closer to our home in Sion. It would also be good if CN can move to a place with an open area. It would enlarge the scope of activities which children could do. We believe it was one of our best decisions for Arjun to enrol him at CN and wish we had done it sooner. We had our apprehensions for enrolling our lil one in a day care. But when we went around this place and met the wonderful staff n owners, we though this is what we want for our 2 year old. My experience with Chica Nino and its staff is exemplary. To me the fact that my daughter is learning/playing/being creatively engaged is such a blessing. The staff at the centre are so loving and caring. Along with a wonderful and hygienic environment, they ensure that they give healthy and good food to the kids which i really appreciate. I can see a positive change in my daughter after she has started going to the centre. Would surely recommend this place.

As a first time parent, it is difficult to make the decision of sending your child to a Day Care Centre. Perspectives of replicating a certain sense of safety, hygiene and the environment at home are of utmost importance when choosing one. Having spent some time in London and seen the state of the art Day Cares, there was only ChicaNino that would fit the bill. We chose ChicaNino, as the owners wanted to establish a benchmark in Child Care. That, they have done. Carefully chosen location, staff and environments that a child stays in for the day, makes it feel, as if its home. It has proven to be a warm, caring and development focussed period for our 9 Month Old. Thanks.

As new parents it was a tough decision to leave our child in day care.. but the assurance we got from the beginning made us very comfortable. The centre provides a nice Montessori environment where the focus is not on just caring for the child but on learning and imparting education while playing. Not just the teachers who are super with the kids but the other staff are also very attentive and most importantly patient. Never have I seen them loosing their poise and shout/get angry at children. Regular updates in the form of pics and videos ensure that we don’t miss any new activity of the child. The only suggestion is to provide live feed from the CCTV cams so that we can check on our child as and when we want to and which also makes the standard of Chicanino better. Overall we are very happy with Chicanino, its staff, and most importantly the quality of care and love given to our child..

We were extremely pleased as parents to have found ChicaNino daycare. The staff here is amazing and extremely warm and caring. Our little one was very comfortable from day one. The place is very clean, absolutely hygienic ( we are fussy for hygiene) and well administered under the able leadership ofCahula Ma'am. All the teachers and attendant were always on toes and did their job with passion. This day care center is synonymous to the word "care".I wish them great success ahead and strongly recommend it to all the parents. best regards

My son is happy to go to everyday to ChicaNino and that for me is the biggest testament to the fantastic job this child care centre is doing. It's really comforting as a mother when the day care partners you in helping your child learn creatively, fuel his curiosity & at the same time instill good habits. Needless to say, hygiene & care taking are perfect. It is truly home away from home for him.

My 2.5 year old has been going to Chicanino for close to a year now and I am extremely satisfied with the attention and care which she gets there. Both the teacher and the helper staff is very friendly and take good care of the kids. The playschool follows the Montessori pedagogy which really allows the children to be free to take up activities which they like. At the same time, the kids also participate in a series of structured activities like picture talk, coloring / drawing etc. and certain activities which build up their gross motor skills. Over the last one year, this has resulted in well-rounded development of my child while keeping her active and busy through the day so much so that she looks forward to going to Chicanino every day. There is a continuous feedback mechanism on how a child is progressing in terms of daily end of day whatsapp reports / pics as well as a regular report card on what kind of activities the child likes to do at the centre. I understand that a lot of competing centres provide live coverage via CCTVs to parents. Chicanino does have a CCTV system for monitoring but has taken a conscious decision of not sharing the live coverage with parents. In this age of helicopter parenting (further aggravated with most parents having single kids), I think that this is a good decision on the management’s part. All in all, Chicanino is run by an experienced management team which is not just professional but fully understand the burden of trust and responsibility which parents place on them. I am very happy with the service provided by Chicanino and would highly recommend it to any parent who is trying to make the tough choice of choosing a playschool / day care centre for their young child.
