★ ★ ★ ★ ★ सन २००५ मध्ये जिल्हा रुग्णालयाला ‘आनंदीबाई जोशी सर्वोत्कृष्ट जिल्हा रुग्णालय’ आणि ‘सर्वोत्कृष्ट सिव्हिल सर्जन’ असे दोन पुरस्कार मिळाले. त्यावेळी जिल्हा शल्य चिकित्सक म्हणून डॉ. आसाराम भालसिंग म्हणून काम पाहत होते. रुग्ण सेवा, स्वच्छता, कर्मचाऱ्यांची रुग्णांशी वर्तणूक, रुग्णालयाची समाजातील प्रतिमा, आदी निकषांबाबत एक हजार गुणांचं सर्वेक्षण करून हा पुरस्कार देण्यात आला होता. त्या आधीही १९८९-९० या वर्षासाठी जिल्हा रुग्णालयाला पुरस्कार मिळाला होता. त्यावेळी जिल्हा रुग्णालयात स्वच्छते बरोबरच रुग्णालयाचं सुशोभीकरण डॉ. भालसिंग यांनी केलं होते. रुग्णालयाच्या परिसरात चक्क कुंडांमध्ये विविध रंगांची कमळं फुलली होती.
