β β β β β Before i left for India, if you stood over 3 feet from me, without my contacts/glasses, i could not recognize you.
For 19 years, i was not able to see the world clearly, even with contacts/glasses.
The prescription was never correct due to astigmatism so i got tired, not because of my body, but because of my eyes and it affected not only my daily activities but my education and work as well.
So at the age of 26, i went to Clear View Laser Center in Ahmadabad, India in hopes of seeing clearly and in TEN minutes, it happened.
LASIK and a clear trip around India was cheaper than just the LASIK procedure here in America. 1/6th of the price of LASIK in America, Do the math.
So why is it so cheap? Is it safe? That was my question.
People from around the world come to India for medical treatments every day. This means each Doctor gets around 1000 patients a year for LASIK, something American Dr's don't get, hence, the hefty price. As far as safety, this hospital was equipped with worldβs most advanced equipment from Carl Zeiss MEL 90 Excimer Laser. On top of this, i personally know 7 people who have been to this same Doctor.
I don't remember seeing this clearly, and because of modern medicine and a great Dr who was on call for me if i needed anything before or after, my life changed in 10 minutes.

This review is for Dr. Rajesh shah.
I came here from Canada for operation and heard a lot of good reviews about this place.
My operation was successful but here are some reasons for giving two star.
~2 hours wait for operation.
~1.5 hours wait for three appointment. (Total 4.5 hours). you will have only one minute inside doctor's cabin. They don't want us to ask any questions during this time.
~Even if you go first after taking an appointment. They select people randomly to go inside doctor's office. There is no token system. Treating people like they are free all day.
~long waiting time is because of bad time management. Lot of places are handling more patients with less waiting time.
If you respect your time then this place is a big no for you.
