★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shopping at this generously stocked and colourful cloth Market at Amritsar is a very pleasant and fun experience. So much variety and price ranges to choose from!
Bright and beautiful Lehanga Chunni, Salwar Kameez, sarees, all sorts of readymade and clothing materials and what have you, for women, men and children of all ages and to suit all pockets.
Shopkeepers are polite and welcoming and take the trouble to patiently show all varieties of stuff the customer requests them to show.
The sheer range of clothing material and readymade apparel is amazing.
The market is heavily crowded with excited shoppers. The roads in between the shops are narrow and only way to reach here is either on foot or E-Rickshaws. Amazing how they manoeuvre through the narrow lanes without actually running into each other.
Many small tea stalls located all over the place sell tea kulcha chhole, aloo tikkis and the like.
All in all a very pleasant, if exhausting experience but worth the trouble.
