About Coding Club

Reviews for Coding Club:

The community of Alumni and mentors at Coding club is tremendous, within just 2 months since its inception it has become one of the largest tech communities among Universities in Delhi, and the structure of coding club is simply brilliant (alumni, mentors, organizers, learners) So, when mentors graduate they become alumni and mentor selection happens very often from the pool of learners and organizers, so we have this ever-increasing group of great people who help out each other whenever needed, its simply amazing.

Interview Experience at Coding Club:

Interview Experience: Round 1) In the first round I was interviewed by Sudhanshu Sir(Alumni) in which he first asked me the domain I was most comfortable with and I answered "Dynamic Programming" so sir gave me a DP problem whose statement was very simple that we are given an array of integers where each element represents the max number of steps that can be made forward from that element. Find the minimum number of jumps to reach the end of the array starting from the first element. I spent a lot of time thinking of the recursive relation and trying to find the base cases, I had a partial solution ready in my mind but what I worried about were the edge cases, so after a lot of dry runs I discussed my solution and its time complexity etc with sir and as expected it failed in some cases but anyways the general idea that mattered was answered. I now feel I could have done a lot better but a mild panic attack made me unable to perform at my peak. But I am glad that it happened because, in the end, Sudhanshu Sir explained that these failures are what that prepare us for the real interviews in which performing at peak is the only available option and Hence my First round concluded which was a great learning experience. Round 2) Then came 2nd round where I was interviewed by Suruchi Ma'am(Alumni) in which I was given two-three problems, first one was a DP based optimal path finding problem based on certain constraints, I applied my learnings from previous round here hence there was no panic attack this time so I was performing at my peak which enabled me to solve the problem with relative ease and I coded the solution recursively and discussed the iterative solution as well. The second problem was also simple I had to find the merging point of two singly linked list in linear time which was easy to come up with by brainstorming on what possibly could be done apart from running a two-deep nested loop and checking equality for every pair of pointer. Round 3) I guess I was lucky that day as I was selected as a mentor based on my performance in the first two rounds itself, So no DP problems for me to solve in third round and instead Rishab Jain Sir congratulated me for being selected and explained me my responsibilities that I need to perform as a mentor and some other great pieces of advice. So after hours of thinking and having such a great experience, I realized that coding club is not just about solving problems or coding together instead it's about getting to know smart people around you and networking with them to learn together and grow together, like I had just met such amazingly brilliant people who have taught me a lot.

In the current scenario tier 2 colleges are not able to attract big companies, but coding club provides a network of alumni and mentors with the help of which we can reach our true potential and not be limited by resources.

It is a great community built for great coders. I wish I’d come here earlier. This is by far the best decision I’ve made. It gave me the platform to learn so much, to meet new people, and most importantly to develop the approach one needs while coding. The healthy environment here is the best I’ve seen. Happy to be with like minded people.
