Old new all kind of books are available here. Indian Coffee House is one of the most famous place of this area. Presidency University, Calcutta University is also here. Medical College, a govt hospital is also here.
Almost 400 books stores are available here. Sanskrit school, Hindu School and Hare school is also here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't try to bye anything from here. They are the fraudsters. A racket is running via this add. Today I had placed an order for a Book from this book stall. They said price 400/- and provided a scan code for payment. I paid 400/- online by scanning the code. Again somone said within 5 minutes for delivery you have to pay Rs1020/- and you will get it back within 5 mints. So , again I paid Rs.1020/- but, they said you have to pay with 2mints , otherwise , we cannot process. You have to resend 1020, we will back the whole amount after making the bill . - R K Bose

People are rushing here and there to find whatever they need
There's no stall which is left empty every stall is filled with customers
I went in search of M.A sociology books and one shop owner charged me 300 for an old book the original price was 300 and he charged the same for the old book
So be aware of all these fraud and check into everything before buying
