The platform ticket costs Rs 10/-. You can get prepaid autos in front of the railway station. A lot of people talk about its built. An architectural masterpiece in every sense, Cuttack Railway Station is one of its kind in India. This Railway Station is one of the top 100 booking stations of the Indian Railway. The architecture of the station resembles that of the Barabati Fort, a grand historic monument that was built during the reign of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty. The railway station is soon going to have different entrance also from the other side to access deconjesting the college square. Must visit this place.

Being the old capital of Odisha and a major business centre, the station has been long operational and has had many historical events. The station entity structure feels like a fort. Relatively alive and crowded, as the SCB Medical is nearby and people coming from different parts of Odisha and outside Odisha came here.
