Service availed: Certificate Attestation
Degree Certificate- from RGUHS
Procedure:
* Carry original and copy of certificate issued by RGUHS
* Meet the concerned officer in the ground floor
* Collect a letter in Kannada addressed to RGUHS (this will be issued a few days later)
* Submit the letter to RGUHS and pay the necessary fee
* RGUHS will (apparently) contact the Officer in DC office and confirm that the certificate issued to you is authentic
* Go to the Officer in DC office after confirmation and get it attested from him
Difficulty:
* There is no information available in public domain about the procedure
* The procedure varies in different states
* The officials are generally rude and keep you waiting without any reason
* Even simple paperwork need lot of time

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called to DC office during covid-19 as I want to go to my home town (odisha). But they didn't give proper response and not short out my issue as I can't speak the local language (kannada).
When I speak in hindi, the gentleman speak in kannada. When I asked him can you speak English, the first question he asked me that from how many years you are staying in bangalore and till this time you cannot speak local language. If this is the solution then I would like to ask that gentleman that after staying so many years in India, why he is not able to understand hindi (as it's a national language)
Hope in this this type of situation some senior officer will u take care of all this type of issue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible Department. For Birth Certificate attestation, they don't even reply properly. One person is responsible for Birth Certificate Attestation. He acts as if he is doing us a favor. Does not respond to general queries and makes us run behind him like servants. So much for a government office. Do not recommend going here at all.
