Panchakki, a name similar to Pawan chakki, is a water driven propeller and the energy produced by the rotting propeller was used to grind grains which was used to feed travelers and saints who passed through the place. Water is redirected from a nearby hill down to the propeller using earthen pipelines. Earthen pipelines which were installed long time back are still functional and the water still runs in abundance. The propeller is still functional and is connected to the grinder via a rod which rotates the grinder along with the propeller.
