★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dargah Hazrat Makhdoom e Jahan Makhdoom Sharfuddin Ahmed Bin Yahya Maneri r.i.p is situated in Bihar Sharif, Bihar popularly known as Badi Dargah. He was a great and Popular Sufi Saint. He was born in Maner, near Patna on 29 Shaaban 661 A. H. In July 1263 AD. His father Makhdoom Kamaluddin Yahya Maneri r.i.p. and Maternal Father Sahabuddin Balkhi r.i.p. were revered Sufi Saints. His initial education was completed under Ashrafuddin Abu Towama Bukhari at Sonargaon near Dhaka who was a renowned Scholar. He spent 24 years with him. After marriage he went to Delhi and met with Hazrat Nizamuddin r.i.p. was a great Sufi saint. His brother Makhdoom Jaleeluddin Maneri r.i.p. introduced to his spiritual teacher Sheikh Najeebuddin Firdausi r.i.p. and became his disciple. He renounced the worldly comforts and performed friar Sufi practices in the Forest of Bihiya and in the hills of Rajgir close to a hot water spring which is named as Makhdoom Kund for 30 years. Later he settled in Bihar Sharif where he was teaching Sufism to his disciples and a Friary was built for him Mohammed Tughlaq. He dedicated his whole life in spiritual teaching and writing. He died on 6th Shawwal 782 AH in 1381 AD. Every year five days Urs held from 5th Shawwal onwards. Followers are visiting from far off.

Pillar of Sufism and Spiritual learning in India Makhdoom e Jahan Sheikh Sharfuddin Ahmed bin Yahya Maneri Rahmatullah Alaihe beautiful Shrine is the main Attraction of this place since 13th Century.
We all should visit here at least once in a life time to feel the spirituality and communal harmony that exists in our society now also.
