He ran the Langar khana of Nizamuddin Auliya. After the death of Nizamuddin Auliya, he went to the Deccan with Burhanuddin Gharib with 1400 palki (Chauda sau Palki), and became famous by the name of Peer Manak Bhandari.[meaning of "Manak" is Pearl (Moti)]. His shrine is in Fatehabad in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra.The current Sajjada nasheen of Hazrat Jalaluddin Bhandari is Shaikh Tajuddin Chisty Faizy. They celebrate Urs of Hazrat on 13th & 14 th of Zulhajjah every year.
