You can get any item related to clothing, handicrafts, jewellery, blankets, vegetables and bags here. Market is located in a narrow street, so usually crowded and goes without saying that over crowded on special occassions and festivals. So brace yourself up in advance when coming on days like Ganga dussehra, devshayani ekadashi, shravan putrada ekadashi, Devutthana ekadashi. Dussehra and Diwali days -Super crowded. It's the heart of city. Very prominent ghat in terms of rituals, worship, faith and culture. At the end of market, is the ghat where you can go for a ride to the other side of the Ganges on boat. Number of boats are available and you can choose according to your choice and budget. Either you can fully reserve the boat to yourself or you can go in sharing. Sharing will cost you around 40/- INR per person as per today's rates i.e. on 5 August 2021. 3-4 years back the rates were 30/- rs per person. Charges of reserving the boat depends upon the size which you are preferring to go from. Rates start from 400 for the smallest. There's a kind of cruise ship called Alaknanda(I 've inserted the pic) which will cost you around 700/- INR for taking you through asi ghat to Raj ghat. They also provide this service of letting you see Ganga Aarti in evening from their ship. Rates of which I don't know. There are a number of eateries too in the market which provide authentic Banarasi food at a very affordable rate.

Beautiful market, situated on the way to dashashwamedh Ghat. Shops selling various items like brass utensils, bangles, idols, bamboo made products, etc. There is good collection of bangles available. The most important thing is to 'bargain' before you purchase.
