The station is not huge in size but it's a major junction in Maharashtra. Next major station is Pune. Its hot climate during April. Indian railways is doing good job.

The food options are less, as a lot of long trains halt here the food options need to be increased. The station is isolated most of the times, the passengers may not feel safe in the night time. My suggestion would be to stay in your respective train when you visit this station. Also don't expect a lot of eating option here, only food available here is wadapav.
