About DAVO Old Age Home (NGO)

These persons are generally found on the railway station, bus stand, religious and other public places in very unhygienic, critically diseased and painful condition. Nobody comes forward to help or even to touch them. So due to lack of food, medicine, and care, their condition becomes more and more critical and even they generally go towards lingering and painful death.

DAVO is currently running 2 old age homes, one in Delhi and another one in Ganaur (Sonipat,Haryana). These are the home of 230 old men and women found alone and abandoned old age people. In the last 35 years we have rescued nearly 4,500 elders out of which more than 1,816 have been rehabilitated and more than 1,715 have been cremated.

Our vision is to save every helpless hopeless sick person who is in harsh and painful conditions and going towards lingering death due to lack of help and support. All of our efforts are to serve every destitute, orphan, needy and abandoned elderly by providing them free shelter, food, clothes, healthcare, love and respect. With a strong belief that helping old aged people and spreading awareness of elder care would not only give them a new life but also reduce the issue of elder abuse in the society.

All donations to DAVO are exempted from tax under section 80G (5)(vi) of Income Tax Act,1961.

Had gone to this place to Donate food (groceries ) items. Place was kept clean. My heart ached to see old abandoned, few mentally unstable senior citizens. I pray to god give me a job and i earn alot, so that i can donate more and more to such people. I request more and more people to come forward and donate to such underprivileged, unfortunate people.

The NGO home has lot of old people staying in it. I went there to donate nebuliser, urobag, adult diapers and some medicines. After confirming with the care taker(Chanchal),these items would be used. Would suggest people to donate medicine, food, clothes etc instead of donation. But on the cons side,at the entrance gate lot of foul smell,I can understand taking care of the homeless old people is not an easy task.Plus the place looked very dingy not sure whether any source of entertainment to these people available or not or whether there is some specific time for entertainment. May God Shiva Bless them??️?
