Seth Banarsilal Khandelwal, born in the Swanamdhanya Khandelwal family, who has done remarkable work in the field of education, has done this school in the pious memory of his father Durgadatta, Agraj Chunnilal and Pitruva Sagarmal for spreading the higher level education in the adjoining area as per the famous tradition of his family. Founded The foundation of the college was laid by His Excellency Vishwanath Das, the then Governor of Uttar Pradesh in 1964. Its first session started on August 1, 1966, as an affiliated college from Gorakhpur University. This college was given permanent recognition in February 1968. The main college of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Maunath Bhanjan is the only college, which has been given permanent recognition. Since then, the college is on the path of continuous progress. With the affiliation of Hindi and English subjects at postgraduate level in 1978-79, His Excellency the Governor recognized this as a postgraduate college and fulfilled the great need of this field. After the establishment of Parwanchal University, Jaunpur, this college is now affiliated to him. In the Faculty of Science, under the self-financing scheme, the teaching work of Biogroups and Mathematics Group subjects at the undergraduate level is being conducted from the session 2003-2004 and Urdu, Geography and History are being taught at the postgraduate level. The college has main study centers of Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi and Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Allahabad, which gives dimension to the educational development of Muslim and minority / scheduled community in the area. N.C.C. , NSS, Rovers / Rangers and sports programs provide the student an opportunity for mental and physical development.

It is the best college in the City Maunath Bhanjan (Mau). Placements: Around 80% of the students get placed in our course. The highest score in academics was 80%, and the lowest was 50%. The average percentage scored by students in academics was 75%. All of the government jobs are offered. Almost 75% of the students got. Infrastructure: Our college has labs and library facilities. Classrooms are awesome on campus. The quality of the food served is also good. Our college is the best in providing medical and sports and games facilities. We have a cricket ground and a football court. Faculty: Teaching quality in our is very best. Teachers are very quick-minded. The course curriculum is a filament, and it can be easily understood by students but doesn't make them industry-ready. Faculty members in our college are knowledgeable, and students behaviour is very best. Other: I opted for the course because I am interested in knowing about history and political education. In-depth knowledge has to be provided for the betterment of the course. The college offered scholarships sometimes.
