★ ★ ★ ★ ★ oldest railway station of Delhi city and a Junction station. It is one of the busiest railway stations in India in terms of frequency. Around 250 trains start, end, or pass through the station daily. It was established near Chandni Chowk in 1864 when trains from Howrah, Calcutta started operating up to Delhi. Its present building was constructed by the British Indian government in the style of nearby red-coloured fort and opened in 1903. It has been an important railway station of the country, and preceded the New Delhi Railway Station by about 60 years.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great railway station with much facilities. I found this one of the best station. Here you found waiting rooms, rest rooms, free wifi ( high speed). You can find here food at reasonable price at stalls operated by railways. Security people are everything so no worries if you are coming alone here. One of the busy station of India. Keep it up indian Railway. This station is near to chandni chowk, exit via gate. No. 3

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean and cool place to sit inside the station. Sitting place is available just after entering the station. 16 platforms are there. Needn't take over bridge for Platform 1-8. Lift, escalators and stairs available for going to platform 9-16. Snacks, books stores available. Purifier Water filling points also available. The station remains very crowded so it's better to reach early.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Railway workers and security has totally changed its face. Plastic is banned on this station, so be careful before throwing any plastic item on to the station.
Really admire their hard work Arrived here after traveling around the regions north of Delhi like Punjab and Uttarakhand. This is certainly one of the better stations in India. The place is quite clean by local standards and the cleaners do their job with electric cleaning machines which no doubt contributes to that. The station has ticket offices for reserved and unreserved trains, is pretty easy to navigate, has facilities for upper class passengers and has pretty good eating facilities.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Golf cart was available at Kashmere gate side, charge Rs 200/- for whole cart or 50/- per person. Station layout is a bit strange, refer to the map available online. You might have to walk the entire length of a long platform to reach your platform if you don't choose your entry gate correctly. The golf cart saved the day for us
