The University has risen to 16th rank in the top 50 universities of the country, as per recent survey conducted by ‘India Today’ and has achieved 11th Position, out of the 500 universities, in Publications in science. The University has won the highest sports Award in the country, the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy, for a record of 21 times. The university has won National Championship in Inter-University Youth Festivals in the year 2012. The University has been National Champion for 8 times. The University has also won the North Zone Inter-University Cultural Championship for the 12 times this year.
The Gurdaspur campus of Guru Nanak Dev University has well equipped with state-of-the-art computer and networking facilities. The campus has spacious and ventilated rooms. The campus has well stocked library with a collection of more than 19000 books and a subscription to various Articles, Magazines and Newspapers. The campus also has a separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, the other facilities include canteen, dispensary and medical facilities.The Training & Placement department of the Guru Nanak Dev University was established in the year 1998. The main objective of the department is to provide training and placement opportunities to the students and to prepare them for the industry.
