★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aiims Psychiatry Department is worse, No Senior & Experience Doctor in OPD, Patients Waiting 3 to 4 Hour for Doctors. Hospital Staff are not Supportive. Every time You go to checkup and every time Doctors Changed. They start treatment again with old medicine which is stop by old OPD Doctor. This is Shame For India. How many Years go wasted.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I currently work here as a Junior Resident and I can safely say that the department takes into consideration the latest guidelines and employs ethical practices to provide the best possible treatment. The OPD is on the first floor of New RAK OPD and ward is on first floor in ward block (C1). There are currently 32 beds in the ward. OPD is functional from Monday to Saturday. Both new and follow up patients are seen. The department is very supportive to the residents and provides good opportunities for learning. There are also services like mECT, rTMS, tDCS etc. Clinically the department aims to provide the highest standard of care to the patients coming from all different backgrounds. There are few issues like difficulty in getting early appointments, queues in OPD etc. However these are logistic issues and we hope that in coming times, the infrastructure will be able to accomodate more and more number of patients. Would highly recommend the department both for education and treatment purposes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After suffering from my illness for 4 years with dozens of medications prescribed by private doctors, I finally found my solution at AIIMS. The doctors were empathetic and gave me sufficient time to understand my issues during my work-up. After 3 months of treatment here, I feel much better and have been able to start looking for jobs again. Thanks to AIIMS Psychiatry department and God for this. I recommend everyone to try getting treatment here. Be a little patient as there are lots of patients and it takes time. But ultimately you will find the best treatment and practices here. As for changing of junior doctors, due to a robust system of medical records, your clinical details will be available whenever required. And the faculty remains the same so you can follow up with them for long durations. Thanks.
