He denied to provide false witness in the court of law in favour of the zamindar of Deregram. Gadadhar Avyudoy Prakalpa (GAP) is being implemented here, in the campus of Khudiram Ramakrishna Sevashram by RKMission, Kamarpukur.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sri Ramakrishna's parent's belong from this place originally. As a very honest and pious family, they used to have immense respect amongst villagers. One day Sri Khudiram Chattopâdhyâya, father of Sri Ramakrishna, was requested by the local zamindar to appear as a false witness in front of the judiciary. Being a very honest man, khudiram refused to do so. The Enraged zamindar then banished the family from the village and the family had to leave their ancestral house overnight. Finally, Khudiram Chattopâdhyâya reached Kamarpukur. Sri Ramakrishna was born there.
