I gave a short visit to this place before continuing my trip to New Delhi District. This statue is located in the imaginary border between Old Delhi and New Delhi District.
As what local people there know this is a tribute to the late Desh Bandhu, one of the great leaders of India.
The monument is a proof of the great contributions of Desh Bandhu to society. Born as Rati Ram Deshbandhu Gupta (14 June 1901 – 21 November 1951), more popularly known as Lala Deshbandhu Gupta, was an Indian freedom fighter, legislator and journalist born in Panipat, Son of Haryana to Shri Shadiram and Rajrani Gupta.
This area is like a garden where the local people do walk and sports activities the morning and in the late afternoon to sit down and relaxing.
What I saw while riding on a car along the road from Old Delhi and New Delhi District is like seeing heaven and earth.
In New Delhi District, you will see more green and clean, the house and building well organized until you find The Rashtrapati Bhavan the official home of the President of India.
When I asked local people why they said New Delhi is an extension of Old Delhi and be the new capital of India. Refer to the history It was designed by British architects, Sir Edwin Lutyens, and Sir Herbert Baker under the authority of the British government.
