And this station is developing very quickly time to time itself. You must like this place. It's very clean and disciplined station. There is a high security on this station by railway protection forces, This station has a very well mail service by indian post, there is a very good food and refreshments available here managed by IRCTC

The trains to Ranchi, Bokaro, Chandrapura, TATA, Barkakana, Phusro, Purulia, Daltonganj usually depart from the platform i.e pf 7& 8 which is on the either sides of the train providing more comfortability to the passengers.

Almost every Railway employee has to visit here for there office work. Apart from that Dhanbad station is at walkable distance from all the major railway institutions and it's a Railways official hub for Hospitals, Recruitment and Training institutes, DRM office Dhanbad, Post office, Bank More or we can say that it's the centre of Dhanbad city. Dhanbad station constitutes of both - The Traffic movement and Goods train movement. Dhanbad being the centre of Coal plays an important role to send coal throughout India. On the other side, the stations condition is overall good but you still find that cleanliness could be better and AC guest rooms could be there. But it's overall an average station seeing the traffic facilities but good when you see it's overall importance.

H	Harsh Titus on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been going to Dhanbad Railway station since my childhood it's one of the most important railway station from Delhi-Howrah route, it has improved significantly specially in terms of cleanliness compared to the last 20 years, still there is lots of scope of improvement specially there is no helpdesk at entrance neither any information freely available about the wheelchair booking for senior citizens. If you need any wheelchair then you need to ask the porter and they charge exorbitant price.
