★ ★ ★ ★ ★ तलाठी(हिन्दीत पटवारी) हा महाराष्ट्र जमीन महसूल व्यवस्थेतील एक कर्मचारी आहे. जमिनीसंबंधीची अभिलेख सतत अद्ययावत रहावीत म्हणून महाराष्ट्र जमीन महसूल अधिनियमानुसार अनेक प्रकारच्या नोंदवह्या विहित करण्यात आल्या आहेत. गावात काम करणारा तलाठी या गाव-पातळीवरील नोंदवह्यांचे दप्तर एकूण १ ते २१ क्रमांकाच्या गाव नमुन्यांमध्ये ठेवतो. तलाठी हा गावातील सर्व जमिनीच्या व्यवहारांची नोंद करत असतो. गावातील शेत जमिनीचा सात बारा, आठ अ या सर्व बाबी तलाठी देत असतो.
महाराष्ट्रातील तलाठी यांना अधिकार नसल्याने त्यांनी खालील ३६ प्रकारचे दाखले देणे बंद केले आहे.
वारस नोंदी प्रमाणपत्र, वारस नोंद पंचनामा, वारसाचा दाखला, वारस अहवाल, वंशावळ पंचनामा, रक्‍तनातेसंबंधाचा दाखला, भूमिहीन शेतमजूर असल्याचा दाखला, अल्पभूधारक असल्याचा दाखला, उत्पन्नाचा दाखला, रहिवास दाखला, एकत्र कुटुम्बाचे प्रमाणपत्र, विभक्‍त कुटुम्ब असल्याचा दाखला, विधवा-परित्यक्‍ता असल्याचा दाखला, पुनर्विवाह न केल्याचा दाखला, अस्वच्छतेचा व्यवसाय करीत असल्याचे प्रमाणपत्र, नगरपालिकेत हद्द असल्याचा, नसल्याचा दाखला, विद्युत जोडणी ना हरकत दाखला, विद्युतपम्प असल्याचा वा नसल्याचा दाखला, मालकीच्या शेतात विहीर आहे किंवा नाही याचा दाखला, ५०० फुटाच्या आत विहीर असल्या-नसल्याचा दाखला, शेतातील वृक्षांबाबत, भिक्षुक नसल्याबद्दल, धर्मादाय संस्थांकडून मदत घेत असल्या-नसल्याबाबात, जातीचा दाखला, कायदेशीर सज्ञान- अज्ञान असल्याचा दाखला, चल-अचल सम्पत्तीचा दाखला, दोन नावांची व्यक्ती एकच असल्याबाबत, जमिनीच्या घराच्या चतुःसीमा. शेतजमीन नकाशा, जमिनीच्या किंमतीचा पंचनामा, बागायत प्रमाणपत्र, मयत व्यक्ती ही कुटुम्बातील एकमेव कमावती व्यक्ती असल्याचा दाखला, मयत व्यक्ती कुटुम्बप्रमुख असल्याचा दाखला,आदी ३६ प्रकारचे दाखले.
नियमाप्रमाणे आता तलाठी सातबारा उतारा ८ अ उतारा तसेच फेरफार उतारा याच्या प्रमाणित प्रती देतात.
 Talathi (Hindi: पटवारी) is an employee of the Maharashtra Land Revenue System. In order to keep the land records constantly updated, various types of registers have been prescribed under the Maharashtra Land Revenue Act. Talathi, who works in the village, keeps a village-level register in the village samples numbered 1 to 21 in total. Talathi records all land transactions in the village. Talathi gives all the matters of seven, twelve, eight acres of farm land in the village.
As Talathis in Maharashtra do not have authority, they have stopped issuing the following 36 types of certificates.
Certificate of Inheritance, Certificate of Inheritance, Certificate of Inheritance, Certificate of Inheritance, Inheritance Report, Genealogical Certificate, Certificate of Blood relation, Certificate of Landless Farmer, Certificate of Minority, Certificate of Income, Certificate of Residence, Certificate of Combined Family, Certificate of Divided Family, Widowhood Certificate of non-remarriage, Certificate of doing unsanitary business, Certificate of non-existence of municipal boundary, Certificate of no connection of electricity, Certificate of presence or absence of electric pump, Certificate of whether or not there is a well in the owned field, Certificate of well being within 500 feet, Field trees Certificate of caste, proof of legal knowledge, proof of immovable property, proof of immovable property, proof of immovable property of one person with two names Agricultural Land Map, Land Price Punchnama, Horticulture Certificate, Certificate that the deceased is the sole breadwinner of the family, Certificate that the deceased is the head of the family, etc.
As per the rules, now Talathi gives certified copies of Satbara Utara 8A Utara and Ferfar Utara.
