Great significance to buddhists since Buddha gave his 1st sermon and accepted 5 disciples in the Deer Park. Before we reached Deer Park, we visited a buddhist temple. The Theravada monk blessed each of us by placing Buddha's sharira on our heads. That was a great honour. In the Deer Park, we strolled through and sdmired what it was lije in Buddha's time. We joined in a Puja by a Thai monk. Remember to circle around the syupa 3 times. You can buy souvenirs outside the park You have to take oLA cab from varanasi it cost 200 rs only

Beautiful calm and spiritual... Irrespective of your religious views you will definitely feel a sense of calm ... Sense of life beyond the materialistic desires ... If you visit the temple in the evening you get to see amazing sights of countless candles and lamps being lit ... You will cherish that image in your mind

It is believed that this is the place where Lord Buddha gave the first sermon to his disciples after attaining enlightenment and this is where he told the concept of Arya Ashtanga Marg, on which a person can attain salvation.
