*Follow Kolkata.Foodie.Dibyajit @Instagram and Zomato for more reviews and drooling snaps* Dhiren Cabin at Sobhabazaar is almost 100 years old and I simply love the food that they make. You will get only 2 cabins now but they have other tables too. This place has that old Kolkata charm and is perhaps, one of thr best cabins that is still available in North Kolkata. My favourites from this place are listed below : Mughlai Paratha (super soft and tasty) Chicken Stew Fish Pakora Chicken Pakora Tea Mutton breast cutlet Chicken Cutlet Fish Fry You may also try their Fried Rice and Doi Chicken. A must visit if you are a lover of North Kolkata heritages. They have revised the prices after lockdown, so check the new menu uploaded with this review. Also, keep in mind that you shouldn't reach this place anytime after 7 because most of the items will be finished. ©kolkata.foodie.dibyajit

I had ordered mughlai paratha, mutton braised cutlet, mutton kosha and fish roll. All the items were quite good. However, I was blown away by the mughlai paratha and the mutton kasha. The paratha was both soft and crunchy with an awesome taste. Mutton kosha surprised me a lot. I have'nt really come across any restaurant recently, offering such good quality mutton. Mutton was really soft, well cooked and not very spicy. It did'nt have the unnecessary spices which for me, takes away the real taste of mutton. And yes only Rs.180/- for four tender mutton pieces. Quite cheap ! One should'nt be fooled by the look of the restaurant (it's probably because they are quite serious about their quality and that too at an affordable price), they will pleasantly surprise you!!

Average food, excellent ambience. I just realised that food may not be the only reason to rate a eating "cabin" (as they're sometimes called in Calcutta). The comfort of being served normal, good food in a familiar environment may be equally important.

One of the prestigious and oldest cabin restaurants in North Kolkata running since 83 years. Decent staffs with age old interiors inside, the small outlet serves very good and hygienic fast food at affordable prices. Speciality is Moghlai Paratha but other items you can also try out. Definitely recommend everyone to visit and try out their food.

This place still holds the old Calcutta cabin culture in its full potential. This joint exclusively maintains its delicacies over a hundred years. The simple yet mouthwatering Chicken Stew is the highlight undoubtedly. Apart from this, the Fish Kabiraji, made from fresh Bhetki, tastes heavenly.
