★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant is called Maheshwari restaurant and bar. Although it says AC bar and restaurant on the board it is just a shack. Yes it is filled with only men sitting around eating and drinking like someone else has reviewed. We decided to be brave and have our lunch since we had driven for half an hour.
The food didn't disappoint. We ordered the roast fish and what we got was a pomphret that was about 6 inches long marinated in mint and coriander and an absolute treat. My poor photo might not do justice here. We also ordered prawns masala which was about 8 to 10 prawns drowned in a rich red gravy. It was the perfect accompaniment to the butter rotis.
The prawns fried rice had nothing to write home about but the fact that you had to search for the prawns in the mountain of flavoured rice.
The portion size was good and for just Rs1000 we had a hearty meal for three.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a true gem from the Diu trip. We contacted the owner and he was a friendly guy. It was not quite the season for fishing or tourists so fresh produce was not readily available. We made an arrangement to purchase the Crabs and Squids from the local market and delivered the same at the restaurant at around 5 PM. At 9 PM on our return from Nagoa beach we were treated with
1) special sitting arrangements at rooftop
2) brilliantly cooked meal at the best possible price in Diu.
We had Crab, Squid and Chicken. All three were prepared such that each gravy had a unique taste. All the food was very tasty and we surely will come back for more.

Quantity - chicken was sufficient for 3, other items were as purchased by us.

We had fish , Prawns and chicken for lunch (same day) at another locally recommend restaurant where prawns and chicken was cooked in the same gravy and the taste was bit off. Ended up paying more for lunch even though dinner consisted of Crab, Squid and Chicken)
Cons:
Don't know whether it is a pro or con but the location is bit isolated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for lunch today, a horrific experience. Waiters lethargic, fish pathetically prepared, tandoori roti cold and as hard as it could be. Request to see the manager not materialised as the waiter conveyed he was on lunch time.
Overall, repented having reacted to good reviews of the place. I just won't go there again and have advised all my colleagues to do so
