★ ★ ★ ★ ★ मेरठ मंडल के कमिश्नर कार्यालय सिविल लाइन्स क्षेत्र में स्थित है। इसके सामने ऐतिहासिक मेरठ कॉलेज है। दोनों के बीच में काफी बड़ा गोल चक्कर (राउंड अबाउट) है जिसे कमिश्नर चौपला (चौराहा) कहते हैं, जहां पार्क और फाउंटेन है। कमिश्नर अदालत इसी परिसर में है और एक शानदार कॉन्फ्रेंस हॉल भी जहां शासकीय बैठकें होती हैं। ब्रिटिश पीरियड में बने इस पुरातात्विक भवन की मूल सरंचना में लगातार छेड़छाड़ होती रही है जो यह दर्शाती है कि हम अपनी धरोहरों के प्रति सजग नहीं हैं।
The Commissioner Office of Meerut Division is located in the Civil Lines area. In front of it is the historic Meerut College. There is a large roundabout in between the two, which is called the commissioner's chaupla, where there is a park and fountain. The commissioner's court is in this complex and also a splendid conference hall where government meetings are held. The original structure of this archaeological building built in the British period has been continuously tampered with, which shows that we are not conscious of our heritage.
