★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst tea of my life..road side vendor tea is 1000 times better than theirs..Completely misguided by their google ratings..Charged Rs 150/- for their third class chai cup..God knows how they are surviving....Overhyped overpriced tasteless tea shop.If you don't want to regret later like me just don't go..Save your penny

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hidden gem in Dakshinapan. This place is owned by the first woman tea taster of India and named after her: Dolly. The inside of the tea shop is air conditioned while you can choose to take a seat outside if you want a smoke with your cup of tea. The ambience is really good with old retro music in the background. They hang lanterns from the ceiling which adds to the warm, cosy feeling offered by this tea shop. Almost all sorts of tea that they offer is A+ in quality and in make. The salads are fine. And the sandwiches are quite good too. Dolly's is quite pocket friendly and undeniably one of the better food sections in Dakshinapan.
Dakshinapan is non air conditioned and in case you want to take a break from the shopping for a light casual meal, this is the place to go. There is Indthalia outside too but Dolly's provides, good tea, comfort food for lesser bucks, an amazing ambience and a cosy atmosphere. You can buy tea to take back home as well. There are no taxes of any kind imposed on any item on the menu. The menu is rather limited to a few varieties but I would still go back. The pasta however is not that great.

But the teas available and the combos available are iconic

It still provides excellent tea. But that's about it
The tables are often found dirty. The food overpriced (the fishfingers in the picture costed RS 200)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dolly’s tea shop sustains just because of its fame from 30 years ago. The cafe is the shabbiest and dirtiest place I have ever seen, its probably a health hazard even to eat at this place.
There are spider webs everywhere, boxes stacked near the front door, the tea cups are unclean and has tea stains on the rims.
We ordered a fish finger what we received was four pieces of overtly fried strips which had little to no fish inside, I would have preferred giving a zero star if I could.
The tea which the cafe was once so famous for was disgusting. The first flush Darjeeling tea was bitter and the milk tea that my sister ordered had a consistency of water and tasted like it was prepared by somebody who has no idea how to boil water.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great selection of loose leaf Darjeeling teas, particularly in the premium price ranges. Have been buying from here for many years now as a part of any trip to India. Sealed plastic foil packaging keeps the tea fresh for years.
