★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A big thankyou and our deepest gratitude to Dr Alok Sardesai; a source of trust and immense help during testing time when my daughter was diagnosed with thyroidism. He is an extraordinary doctor and also a caring person. His accessibility during emergency situations was extremely comforting. He cleared each and every doubt with clarity and patience. The ability to translate the illness with fun illustrations gave solace to her and courage to fight it. Hyperthyroidism was explained to my daughter by Dr Alok as “there is a battle between two sides in your throat with enemy soldiers disguised as your own” was the perfect analogy to explain the illness to her. Rushing back from his OPD when he was miles away at a late hour when she was in emergency in SRCC will never be forgotten.
