★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited Dr. Ashok Patel at INS Hospital yesterday for my mother's condition. At the Reception they asked us to pay 1000/- rupees consultancy fee in advance. I explained him the problems. Doctor told us that he will be unable to help as to the condition is related to Neuro Physician and not him. I asked him few questions with NO SATISFACTORY ANSWERS AT ALL (AS to if the medicines and dosage she is taking is correct or not) including to recommend us the Neuro Physician. It hardly took 5 minutes so I requested to refund AT LEAST HALF of the consultancy fee but Doctor refused to by saying you consumed my time.
First of all, I believe common people will NOT have an understanding as to which specialist to show for the specific conditions.
Secondly the doctor still takes full consultancy money for visiting by mistake is just NOT GOOD on their part. I paid off 1000rupees for visiting him by mistake.
It is very sad and unbelievable how patients are being ripped off by such famous doctors.
